Shift: Nights- 7:00pm-7:00am with rotating weekends

Unit Description:
- Since opening our doors in 1908, AdventHealth has offered one of the most comprehensive children’s health programs in Central Florida. Today, we continue this legacy of pediatric excellence at the Magnet® recognized Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children.
- Our campus is home to 30 pediatric sub-specialties led by a team of 400+ nurses and physicians. We provide specialized care in various state-of-the-art settings, including an Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with private family-centered rooms, an Advanced Center for Pediatric Surgery handling nearly 4,000 cases each year, and one of the few pediatric oncology programs in the area.
- We’re also Central Florida’s only pediatric provider for bone marrow transplant, kidney transplant, Gamma Knife services, trilogy radiation and Level III epilepsy care. But perhaps most exciting of all, is that this is the first—and only—hospital to bear the Disney® name.
The community you’ll be caring for:

Participates in quality improvement activities and reports concerns regarding patient care quality.

Recognize signs of deterioration and escalate care appropriately.
-
Actively involve and educate parents/caregivers in the child’s plan of care, fostering a trusting partnership.

Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including medication administration checks, patient ID verification, and fall prevention practices.

Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Communication, delegation, coordination, evaluation, assessment, and interpersonal skills [Required]• Ability to navigate Microsoft Windows-based programs [Required]• Participation in C.O.R.E. program for nurses providing primary pediatric care; may obtain post-hire when the program is offered
Education:
• Associate’s of Nursing [Required]• Bachelor’s of Nursing [Preferred]
Field of Study:
• Cardiac Device Machine Tech
Work Experience:
• 1+ pediatric nursing experience [Preferred]
Additional Information:
Must meet one of either preferred Work Experience or Education is required
Licenses and Certifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Required]
