Pediatric Hospitalist at AdventHealth Tampa

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic and energetic Pediatric Hospitalists to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando. 

• Expectations to perform pediatric admissions in our 15 bed, Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit 
• Supporting ED pediatric consults, participate in daily family centered rounding 
• Coverage in the Level 1 Newborn Nursery with the support of an Advanced Practice Provider 
• Flexible schedule, approximately 14, 12hr shifts per month for a full-time pediatric hospitalist, which will include days, nights and weekends. 
• 28 bed, Level 3 NICU on site with 24/7 Neonatologist coverage 
• 5 bed, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit on site with intensivist coverage 
• Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Medical Specialty support on site

Practice Description

This is an employment opportunity that includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation. AdventHealth for Children Walt Disney Pavilion

As part of AdventHealth Tampa’s collaboration with the Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children, patients will have the support of a full service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 pediatric ICU beds with a dedicated peds CICU, a 102 bed NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes. We also have several key destination programs including our level IV Epilepsy program, the region’s only BMT and solid organ transplants including kidney and liver, and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017. Our unparalleled network consists of 30 hospitals across the state with one children’s hospital at the center totals over 23,000 births and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics. These 30 hospitals refer patients for tertiary and quaternary services to our main location near downtown Orlando.
