Job Description:
Leads and manages desktop projects, identifying roadblocks and recommending solutions for project completion. Assesses end user devices to determine compliance with AIT standards and recommends replacements to facility managers or directors. Directs, guides, and mentors IT Support Technicians to enhance teamwork, knowledge, and customer service. Troubleshoots and performs preventive maintenance on authorized AdventHealth Systems devices as requested. Enters and updates Service Desk tickets to monitor and track all work done in IT Support Technician support area, following necessary procedural documentation. Contributes to maintaining inventory and spare hardware, and related inventory records, assisting with site walk-throughs and audits to ensure accurate equipment and compliance. Provides image builds and/or modifications for validation by Lead IT Support Technician or manager. Stays updated on the latest technology enhancements through continuous self-education and reading, evaluating and reporting technologies appropriate for the business. Provides detailed descriptions within service desk tickets, including troubleshooting steps taken. Completes assigned tasks and projects within scheduled deadlines. Works closely with inventory and purchasing processes to support needed projects. Supervises personnel needed to complete projects and delegates work effectively, reporting to the Regional Director or Facility Director/Manager. Creates processes and procedures to improve workflow. Clearly communicates technical details to technical and non-technical audiences. Sets up, troubleshoots, and supports audio and video conferences with multiple locations. Demonstrates a clear understanding of the responsibility matrix of the AIT Enterprise teams and local facility. Other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Internet Browsers [Required]• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook,Word,Excel,Powerpoint,Lync) [Required]• All Current Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems [Required]• Familiarity with Windows Active Directory & SMS [Required]• Familiarity with Mobile Devices (iOS,Android/WP,Blackberry) [Required]• Demonstrates advanced technical and problem-solving skills [Required]• Working knowledge and experience with networking and server environments. [Required]• Resolves complex technical issues independently [Required]• Understands business operations and is able to resolve or make recommendations [Required]• Knowledge of Active Directory, GPO’s, and Workstation management software, as it relates to users & workstations [Required]• Healthcare [Preferred]• Enterprise exposure [Preferred]• Ability to learn systems with little or no documentation. Continuous learning of new systems, business processes, and concepts are a must. [Preferred]
Education:
• Associate [Preferred]• Bachelor’s [Preferred]
Field of Study:
• in computer science or the equivalent of Technical Education
• in computer science or the equivalent of Technical Education
Work Experience:
• 2+ as it pertains to device connectivity and pc/network troubleshooting [Required]• 2+ in the desktop environment, troubleshooting and maintaining computer systems in a corporate environment. [Preferred]• Large network and clinical environment [Preferred]
