Job Description:
Build positive relationships, partnerships and networks that facilitate effective chargemaster usage and optimization across the organization. Provide positive Influence for staff and colleagues that inspires trust and avoids conflict Execute projects and tasks quickly through good organization and planning. Monitor regulatory information, following up on new strategies and opportunities to adapt the chargemaster most effectively for AdventHealth. Strive for excellence, continuous improvement, positive influence, quality, trust and meaningful impact in all staff and colleague interactions. Provide leadership and guidance to the chargemaster team by coordinating, monitoring and approving all changes to the chargemaster Mentor and train new staff on learning clinical and billing system workflows and daily tasks related to the management of the chargemaster Manage and monitor all daily activities performed by the chargemaster managers to ensure requests for new charges and regulator updates are completed accurately and timely Supervise and monitor changes made due to regulatory requirement changes for the patient revenue cycle (ie CMS bulletins, transmittals, etc.) and update the chargemaster timely Assist service lines with standardizing charge capture processes and builds related to change requests for new procedures, supplies/implants and drugs. Assist in the resolution of chargemaster billing and coding questions pertinent to accurate, complete and compliant billing Interact with various hospital ancillary and clinical departments to provide education on procedures to maintain charge and reconciliation processes that are compliant Work closely with revenue integrity and revenue cycle teams, AIT, Managed Care and clinical departments to ensure updates to the chargemaster are made in an efficient and accurate manner and proactively communicated Develop and maintain chargemaster maintenance applications that automate Cerner charge table synchronization with the AHS standard chargemaster. Travel on an as needed basis to assist with systems implementation and optimization.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
