Job Description:

Encourages and demonstrates teamwork by following up on diagnostic results, answering phones, and communicating with patients. Demonstrates care for colleagues by working in all areas, being open to change, and effectively participating in conflict resolution and problem-solving. Collaborates with staff on marketing efforts and assists with marketing mailings and phone calls. Communicates effectively with front desk staff to ensure efficient patient flow and performs front office responsibilities as assigned. Prepares for next day patients by ensuring all necessary reports and results are available, and passes key information to doctors, clinicians, and front office in a timely manner. Coordinates with appropriate personnel to schedule procedures and ensure efficient processes. Maintains efficient patient flow, prepares exam rooms, and addresses all doctors’ requirements. Demonstrates knowledge of office medical equipment and assists doctors during procedures. Maintains timely communication with patients regarding hyperbaric dives, surgery, prescriptions, and testing. Assists in controlling supplies and maintains inventory weekly. Maintains accurate documentation of patient medications, messages, sample medications, and pharmacy documentation. Identifies problems that may affect patient safety and efficiency in the department and demonstrates knowledge and compliance with hospital guidelines and regulatory requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Competent in basic patient work-up for examination. [Required]

• Good medical knowledge to assist doctor during patient exams. [Required]

• Ability to keep process and patient flow on time; competent with basic patient work up. [Required]

• Current basic computer skills, data input. [Required]

• Good business office organizational skills. [Required]

• Good verbal and written communication skills. [Required]

• Ability to work well independently and with others in a team environment. [Required]

• Ability to adapt to change. [Required]

• Strong communication skills verbal and written. [Required]

• Knowledge of outpatient hospital services. [Preferred]

• Ability to work closely with physicians. [Preferred]

• Strong team building skills. [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

• Associates [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• Appropriate medical training for licensure and/or certification. [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ years clinical experience [Preferred]

• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

•Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) [Required] OR

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) [Required] OR
