Job Description:
Manages the Medical Assistant “preceptor clinical ladder” program. Oversees the Medical Assistant “fast track” educational program. Maintains high levels of employee engagement and job performance through recognition and learning opportunities. Provides clinical orientation and on-boarding for new clinical staff. Assesses, educates, and validates staff clinical competencies. Participates in the hiring process, conducts development conversations, and handles employee counseling, coaching, and termination per policy. Monitors and approves time and attendance, ensuring compliance with department policies and procedures. Assists in developing clinical policies, protocols, and best practices through research and collaboration with the clinical team. Coordinates the upload of approved policies into the Clinical Standard Operational Procedure library. Ensures the environment of care in ambulatory spaces meets standards. Provides ongoing clinical education and manages clinical student rotations/programs as applicable. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. [Required]• Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion with sensitive personal information [Required]• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and excellent follow-through. [Required]• Ability to speak and present to large groups. [Required]• Ability to provide one-on-one training and give effective feedback. [Required]• Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams; ability to learn new technologies and/or processes. [Required]
Education:
• Associate [Required]• Bachelor’s of Nursing [Preferred]
Field of Study:
• in healthcare-related field
• of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Work Experience:
• 1+ of prior supervisory experience [Required]• 3+ experience supervising staff [Preferred]• 3+ of related clinical experience and/or relevant experience within an adventhealth facility or similar healthcare system/entity. [Required]• 5+ working in an ambulatory setting as a registered nurse (rn) [Preferred]• Experience as a clinical preceptor or trainer in designated role or field [Preferred]• Experience in leading clinical projects, programs and improvement initiatives [Preferred]• Experience teaching in formal/informal settings [Preferred]
