Job Description:
Builds and supports effective relationships with hospital leadership, internal and external stakeholders, and outside organizations. Communicates the department vision, translating it into actionable processes and activities. Strategically plans, develops, and oversees engineering operations at multiple campuses and facilities to ensure efficient and effective building operations. Manages and coordinates the maintenance and repair of utility systems, new construction, and the physical environment to ensure operational soundness and compliance with regulatory standards. Develops and implements standardized processes and procedures to achieve service consistency across all facilities. Collaborates with various departments such as Safety, Emergency Management, and Environmental Services to support key business and operational objectives. Provides administrative leadership to Engineering Managers and ensures the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives. Interacts with healthcare regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and other requirements. Develops and oversees department budgets, incorporating long and short-term goals, forecasting personnel, equipment, and professional development needs. Prioritizes capital requirements effectively to optimize the use of available resources. Develops and mentors Managers and other Directors with a focus on people development and succession planning. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong technical knowledge of large mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and engineering operations with the ability to problem solve and provide concise and accurate information to leaders and executives. [Required]• Expert level presentation, verbal and written communication skills that aids in decision making. [Required]• Thorough knowledge of AHCA, CMS, DOH, DNV, OSHA, State Department of Environmental Protection, and NFPA standards as well as other applicable healthcare industry codes. [Required]• Excellent time management skills including the ability to effectively establish priorities and manage multiple projects. [Required]• Ability to lead and positively effect and guide managers to obtain optimal performance and operational excellence in a demanding, fast-paced, environment. [Required]• Excellent organizational, oral, and mathematical skills including ability to understand and interpret statistical data and develop operations and capital budgets. [Required]• Thorough knowledge of the Systems Engineering Approach pertaining to Facility Operations & Maintenance [Preferred]• Reliability-centered Maintenance (RCM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Technologies [Preferred]

• 7+ director-level experience in engineering / facilities, plant operations or closely related field. [Required]• 7+ healthcare facilities experience [Required]
