Job Description:
Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, payroll functions, documentation and performance evaluations. Demonstrates critical thinking skills, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance and positive employee relations. Fosters a culture of psychological safety, where the team members feel supported, valued, empowered to speak up, share concerns, and contribute meaningfully. Promotes evidence-based practice, ensuring quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous learning. Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels. Prepares the unit for audits and surveys, by monitoring and maintaining unit compliance with regulatory standards, accrediting, hospital policies while coordinating staff education to maintain competencies and preparedness. Manages nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care. Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns and provide guidance. Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care. Manages budgets and resources efficiently to meet financial and operational goals. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Possess a broad nursing knowledge, leadership ability, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, and functions independently. [Required]
• Possess insight for employee growth and development and the ability to do effective impartial counseling. [Required]
• Working knowledge of budgets and healthcare finance and leadership capabilities. [Required]
• Working knowledge of the Pre, Intra and Post-operative environments and complications of Endoscopy procedures. [Required]
• Working knowledge of infection control standards as they relate to Endoscopy procedures and disinfection of all equipment. [Required]
• Has ability to work a varied schedule, to include night and weekend hours and on-call as needed. [Required]
• Must be able to use all systems (i.e. Cerner, Scheduling, Capacity Management, etc) as required on unit for flow, function and scheduling of patients and staff. [Required]
• Specific knowledge and skills as delineated by the unit of employment (see competencies) [Required]
Education:
• Bachelor’s of Nursing [Required]
• Master’s of Nursing [Required]
Field of Study:
• N/A
Work Experience:
• 2+ years endoscopy nursing experience and two years of prior leadership experience in team leader role. [Required]
• Prior management experience [Preferred]

• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
