Job Description:

• Leads daily operations of the Rehabilitation Department, including active involvement in clinical and service rounding.
• Contributes to the efficient operation of the department by overseeing the coordination of activities, prioritizing workflow, promoting decision-making, scheduling to best meet the patients’ needs and problem solving.
• Hires and orients new staff to familiarize them with area processes, equipment, safety, and operational plans.
• Participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices and other stakeholders to build referral relationships and consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extensions of clinical expertise to the community.
• Systematically monitors department metrics and process improvement initiatives, creates and deploys actions plans and documents results.
• Plans and implements employee engagement activities, provides systematic feedback regarding performance, and counsels staff as needed.
• When available, and as required, assists with patient care, within scope of practice, following PT, OT or SLP staff job description “Essential Functions” sections.
• Investigates, responds to, and resolves complaints by acting as a liaison between hospital staff, physicians, patients, and patient families.
• Maintains area-specific productivity standards and overall performance as observed via documentation.
• Disseminates pertinent information to staff and leaders.
• Promotes a collaborative and supportive environment by serving as a mentor and positive role model for clinical staff and students, fostering professional growth, teamwork, and clinical excellence through evidence-based practice and Engaging in autonomous and collaborative participation in research, journal club/reviews, and clinical practice education within a peer group.
• Actively participates in the development of staff clinical skills and monitors customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Completes staff performance appraisals accurately, legibly, and within established timeframes, ensuring employee file compliance with HR and accrediting bodies' rules and regulations.
• Monitors staff and equipment needs, revenue, expenses, and labor tracking, establishing plans for variances and monitoring results.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Commitment to patient-oriented practice [Required]• Basic computer skills to include Outlook, Microsoft Office and Windows [Preferred]

Education:

• Bachelor's in Physical, Occupational or Speech Language Therapy [Required]

Field of Study:

•  N/A

Work Experience:

• 1+ leadership experience [Preferred]

• 2+ healthcare experience [Required]

Additional Information:

• Education requirements for this position are determined by the licensing or certification standards set forth by the relevant certifying body. Applicants must possess the level of education mandated for eligibility to obtain and maintain the required license or certification.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Occupational Therapist (OT) [Required] OR Physical Therapist (PT) [Required] OR Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) [Required]

• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range:

$104,603.20 – $194,542.40
