Job Description:

• Provides new employee precepting on instrument inspection and assembly. 
• Works with new surgeons on tray development and provides in-service education with SPD educator.
• Manages instrument repair and maintenance, ensuring proper tracking and timely return of items.
• Updates instrument count sheets and maintain the instrument tracking system.
• Collaborates with service coordinators to determine set contents and evaluate instrument utilization.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in sterile processing and adheres to regulatory requirements.
• Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing and accurately documents information.
• Deals efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
• Manages instrument inventory, including tracking, ordering, and maintaining par levels.
• Identifies reasons for missing instruments and implements process improvements to reduce missing items. 
• Remains calm and focused during stressful and emotionally charged situations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Sterile processing experience [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equivalent [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• Completed Sterile processing core curriculum

Work Experience:

• 3+ certified sterile processing technician [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) [Required] OR
  Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) [Required]

Pay Range:

$20.58 – $32.92
