Job Description:

Conducts safety audits of stations and vehicles, ensuring the safety of staff and patients. Facilitates brief shift meetings to convey necessary information and assists with the orientation of new hire staff. Assists with annual competencies and participates in regular drills and special events to ensure adequate staffing and training. Coordinates with Captains and RI Officer to provide quality assurance checks of paperwork and adherence to practice parameters. Cultivates and maintains community public relations, including scheduling special events and assessing scene coverage. Develops and maintains disaster response capabilities and operating guidelines in collaboration with local agencies. Actively communicates with EMS staff and Command Staff to ensure effective communication across all levels. Exemplifies excellent service behavior to patients, clients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, and vendors. Manages individual shift operations and ensures appropriate EMS coverage with 24-hour call availability. Assures assessment, repair, and replacement of equipment, and ensures trucks are checked, cleaned, and ready for service. Addresses and escalates staff issues and concerns, ensuring safety and compliance. Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) [Required] OR
• Licensed Paramedic (PARA) [Required] AND
• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] AND
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred] AND
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred] AND
• Driver’s License (DL) [Required]

Pay Range:

$20.23 – $37.64
