Job Description:

Sign On Bonus: Up to $15,000

Shift: Days – 6:45am – 7:15pm. 3 days per week – Required to work every other weekend

Responsible for performing routine respiratory care procedures for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients per hospital needs. This position initiates and maintains appropriate therapy, including life support techniques and equipment. This role provides preventive, supportive, and corrective interventions related to the cardiopulmonary system in assigned patient care areas. In addition, this position applies knowledge and skills necessary for appropriate interactions with staff, patients, and families. Additionally, this role demonstrates and maintains minimum competency in all applicable clinical skills.

• Documents and charges for procedures accurately and completely. Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork in assisting with patient flow.
• Practices standard precautions and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies. Interprets evaluations and test results to determine appropriate treatment plans in consultation with interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Responds to all Code Blue emergencies immediately providing CPR according to the American Heart Association and performs other duties as directed.
• Performs respiratory and oxygen delivery therapies and makes recommendations to the most efficient delivery method per protocol.
• Obtains, analyzes and reports findings of arterial blood gases and co-oximetry; performs quality controls as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Patient care skills to care for neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations per hospital needs.

Education:

• Associate [Required]

Field of Study:

• in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science

Work Experience:

• 1+ critical care experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required]

• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]

Pay Range:

$23.71 – $44.09
