Job Description:

• Either 5 8 hours shifts or 4 10 hours shifts, starting at 630am, with call hours as well
• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures. Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning.
• Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.
• Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants.
• Assists other team members with terminal cleaning of the room and prepping for the next patient.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• • Interpersonal Skills
• • Completion of validation skills
• • Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up
• • Knowledge of sterilization techniques
• • Knowledge to anticipate critical emergencies of Specialty Call Team
• • Ability to organize, promote, and conduct relevant in-services on unit

Education:

• • Associate [Preferred]
• • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• • Technical/Vocational School [Required]

Field of Study:

• • N/A

Work Experience:

• • 2+ experience as certified surgical tech [Preferred]
• • Proficient in a minimum of 2 surgical specialties [Preferred]

• Licenses and Certifications:
• • Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] 
• • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Required] OR
• • Technician in Surgery – Certified (NTSC) [Required]

$25.65 – $52.00
