Job Description:
Responsible for developing and administering the Risk Management Program for loss prevention and claims control. This position ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and identifies, investigates, and reports adverse events and potential risks. This role also collaborates with various departments to implement risk mitigation strategies, and oversees the management of claims and legal matters related to risk.

Oversees the system for identification and analysis of loss or injury exposure in conjunction with the Risk Management team.

Maintains both mandatory and voluntary incident reporting systems to identify and evaluate unit-specific risk issues.

Provides analysis on areas of risk throughout the enterprise to identify, evaluate, eliminate, or reduce incidents in high-risk areas.

Maintains documentation on identified trends and sentinel events, referring to the appropriate committee, manager, or individual for follow-up.

Participates in Risk Management education for new employees, current personnel, and providers to enhance attention to prevention of potential hazards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to develop and provide education to a mixed variety of clinical and non-clinical staff as well as leadership. [Required]

Competent in use of standard computer and typing skills, and electronic medical record software. [Required]

Knowledge and competence in working with Risk Master
Education:
-
Bachelor's in nursing or another clinical health care related field. [Required]

Master's [Preferred]
Work Experience:

5+ previous experience in risk management [Required]

5+ registered nurse with minimum of five years in the clinical setting [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:

Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) [Required]
