Job Description:

• Performs a variety of cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures on patients ranging from neonatal to gerontologic.
• Obtains quality diagnostic scans and assists physicians as needed.
• Selects practical applications and technical factors to ensure effective departmental processes.
• Adapts procedures to each patient’s medical situation, obtaining all necessary information for proper interpretation.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy and physiology.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Basic EKG knowledge. [Required]• Must be able to function independently with little or no supervision. [Required]• Must be able to read, write legibly and perform basic mathematics skills. [Required]• Must be able to communicate effectively. [Required]

Education:
•High School Grad or Equiv [Required]• Associate's of Science [Preferred]• Bachelor's of Science[Preferred] 

Field of Study:
• Cardiac or Vascular Ultrasound program

Licenses and Certifications:
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) [Required] OR
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) [Required] 
• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
