Job Description:

  • Promotes a positive patient experience by demonstrating caring behaviors, maintaining clear communication, and collaborating with the care team to provide safe, timely, and effective whole person care.
  • Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations Ensure the appropriate use and stewardship of medical supplies and equipment to support patient safety and operational efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Performs related duties such as IV management in the neonate, lab collection, respiratory care and management, preparing delivery room for infant transition and care, and medication administration.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• General knowledge of professional nursing principles and techniques used in the assessment, care and treatment of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Nursery patients. [Required]• General knowledge of the pharmacological process in the appropriate administration or delivery of medications used in the care and treatment of Nursery patients. [Required]• Skill to maintain effective working relationships with health professionals and others to create an environment that is conducive to carrying out the mission of the department in an effective manner. [Required]• Skill to communicate (verbal and written) effectively to direct the overall professional nursing services in a manner which encourages the open exchange of ideas and information. [Required]• Cerner / Epic [Preferred]

• Associate’s of Nursing [Required]• Bachelor’s of Nursing [Preferred]

Field of Study:
• N/A

Work Experience:
• 1+ acute care experience [Preferred]• 2+ nursery or mother baby experience [Preferred]
