Job Description:
Coaches leaders and hospital staff on best practices to improve patient experience. Collaborates with executive leaders to meet facility and regional needs Develops and monitors project workplans to completion. Works with senior leadership on accountability, performance reviews, and action plans. Organizes consulting priorities and ensures focus on critical areas for patient experience improvement. Leads measurable improvements based on goals established with Patient Experience leadership. Understands and stays current on CMS CAHPS requirements, Value-Based Purchasing, CAHPS survey processes, results, and statistical significance. Conducts engaging training classes and meetings in support of key initiatives. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Demonstrates strong communication, organization and follow-through skills, managing patient experience improvement initiatives, projects and programs [Required]• Skilled, demonstrated experience as a nurse driving patient experience improvement [Required]• Knowledge of clinical and nonclinical acute hospital operations [Required]• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a proven track record of effectively presenting information to all levels of the organization, including senior executives [Required]• Flexibility and adaptability to change, with ability to function in a highly independent manner due to remote location from central headquarters [Required]• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interface effectively with physicians, nursing, non-clinical and executive leadership [Required]• Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve effectively [Required]• Strong coaching skillset, with the ability to influence all levels in the organization [Required]• Exhibits excellent complex analytical, and change management skills [Required]• Solid ability to analyze and evaluate business problems by defining the challenges, identifying alternatives, and making timely decisions [Required]• Strong knowledge of Patient Experience best practices, and how to best integrate with clinical care [Required]• Solid knowledge of CMS CAHPS requirements, statistical concepts, and the survey process [Required]• Expertise in effective methods of education and adult learning practices [Required]• Ability to lead, organize and work on multiple initiatives/projects without compromising work [Required]• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel [Required]• Lean or Six Sigma application knowledge [Preferred]
Education:
• Bachelor’s [Preferred]
Field of Study:
• degree in healthcare or business-related field
Work Experience:
• 3+ of healthcare related experience [Required]• 5+ of healthcare related experience [Preferred]• Demonstrated history of leading strong improvement results in patient experience [Required]
