Job Description:

•  Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes, assisting with recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required by departmental workflows.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Performs high-quality examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Supports breast center initiatives, such as accreditation preparation, community screening events, or quality improvement activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of Mammography procedures and positions [Required]• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors [Required]• Knowledge of Mammography equipment and the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and American College of Radiography (ACR) regulations [Required]• Ability to review prior images/films and distinguish area of interest [Required]• Ability to perform needle localizations, stereotactic core biopsies, and seed implants [Required]

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]• Bachelor's [Preferred]• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Field of Study:

• N/A

Work Experience:

• 1+ years experience [Preferred]• 1+ years experience in Mammography [Required]•1+ years experience performing stereotactic core biopsies [Required]•1+ years experience performing breast needle localizations [Required]•1+ years experience performing seed implants [Preferred]
