Overview

The AdventHealth Diabetes Institute is seeking a dynamic and energetic, clinically-focused endocrinologist to join our team based at our tertiary facility in Orlando. The mission of the AdventHealth Diabetes Institute is to improve the lives of people with diabetes, promote a healthy lifestyle, deliver excellence in clinical care and education, and conduct research leading to diabetes prevention and a cure.  The new physician would be part of our larger team of over 20 endocrine providers around the Central Florida area.

The AdventHealth Diabetes Institute is a full-service, integrated practice, providing endocrinology and diabetes care, as well as comprehensive diabetes and nutrition education services. The AHDI is a nationally recognized program including consistent recognition in Endocrinology by U.S. News and World Report. We serve as a teaching site for internal medicine residents and medical students.  We also participate in clinical research in the areas of diabetes, obesity and metabolism in partnership with our Translational Research Institute for Metabolism and Diabetes.

The AdventHealth Diabetes Institute serves the greater Orlando area across the AdventHealth Central Florida Division. The main office including clinical, administrative and education areas is situated in over 20,000 sq ft of beautiful office space on the campus of AdventHealth Orlando, a 1,364 bed tertiary referral hospital.  Candidates must be committed to delivering transformational clinical care within the inpatient setting.  In addition, there may be opportunities to participate in teaching and clinical research for qualified and interested candidates.

Requirements:  Physician must be fellowship trained and have active board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine with board certification or board eligibility (within five years of completion of training) in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
