Job Description:
Leaders at AdventHealth are called to help team members feel whole. In this role, the Corporate Nurse Manager for Nursing Leadership Development provides enterprise-wide leadership for nursing leadership development. The position supports the development, implementation, and communication of AdventHealth’s Nursing Leadership programs company wide. The position will work in close collaboration with the Director, Nursing Leadership Development to standardize nurse leader onboarding and professional development programs across all markets that align with national nursing leadership competencies and to advance the AdventHealth Nursing Strategy.
- Location: Altamonte Springs, FL
- Provides enterprise governance and oversight for nursing leadership development, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and state nurse practice acts.
- Designs and creates nursing leadership development content integrating evidence-based practices that align with national nurse leader competencies and adheres to the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) Accreditation criteria.
- Update and revise existing onboarding programs and professional development resources.
- Acts as a subject matter expert in nursing leadership development competencies
- Facilitates new nurse leader onboarding, workshops and delivers virtual and in person training programs.
- Develops and maintains a nurse leader mentoring program.
- Monitors current and future regulatory and accreditation requirements that may impact nursing leadership practices.
- Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders in the development of corporate policies.
- Aggregates and facilitates analysis of workforce data that includes nurse leader longevity, promotion, and turnover; participation in onboarding and professional development programs; program effectiveness, and nurse leaders in succession.
- Develops and implements processes for maintaining the organization’s Nursing Leadership internal website with content that is pertinent to nurse leaders at all levels and settings and our external nursing website in partnership with HR and marketing.
- Participate in department and system Nursing Leadership Development meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations, correspondence, and reports to address all levels of the organization. [Required]

Proficient in virtual and in-person workshop facilitation and program delivery. [Required]

Proficient in writing and creating professional development and instructional programs. [Required]

Demonstrable understanding of adult learning and training. [Required]

Knowledge of clinical and hospital operations. [Required]

Strong understanding of nursing leadership competencies and development. [Required]

Able to travel and maintain a flexible schedule. [Required]

Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams. [Required]

Change management skills. [Required]

Supervisory skills and working knowledge of leadership principles and management skills. [Preferred]

Knowledge of the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope & Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for Nurses. [Preferred]
