Job Description:

• Leads clinical teams to ensure high patient and physician satisfaction and provides support through complex issues. 

• Administers effective distribution and utilization of personnel during shifts.

• Uses critical thinking skills to coordinate and evaluate services rendered by all departments during shifts.

• Implements actions to respond to the needs of patients and their families/support systems.

• Keeps the Chief Nursing Officer and Administrator informed of circumstances with serious impact.

• Identifies and communicates key issues and trends to leaders and makes recommendations for improvement.

• Demonstrates knowledge of clinical practice standards to serve as a resource to staff.

• Responds to emergent situations including code blue, trauma, code stroke, STEMI, and maternal or neonatal emergencies.

• Carries out hospital and nursing policies, procedures, and standards.

• Visits patient care units to assess patient conditions, evaluates staffing needs, and supports caregivers.

• Assesses and reassesses pain, utilizes appropriate pain management techniques, and educates patients and families on pain management. 

• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces medical errors.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 1+ acute care experience [Required]

Pay Range:

$31.85 – $52.76
