Job Description:
Installs, maintains, and repairs domestic water pumps, water piping lines, water filters, and plumbing fixtures. Repairs and maintains steam stations, valves, heating and condensate return stations, and sewer and storm drains. Maintains the piping and supply of cylinder and bulk medical gas systems. Assists in the operation and general maintenance of painting, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems, performing essential repairs and other duties as requested. Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs plumbing, mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and piping as needed and under general supervision. Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks. Remains current on maintenance logs and documentation. Provides on-the-job skills training to enhance team capabilities. Supports and contributes to the development of new processes, products, or services. Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to assist trade personnel and contractors as necessary to coordinate repairs to plumbing [Required]
• Able to communicate in English [Required]
• Must have the ability to document records neatly and accurately [Required]
• Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies [Required]
• Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner [Required]
• Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches [Required]
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form [Required]
• Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals [Required]
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist [Required]
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes [Required]
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment [Required]
• Basic Microsoft office computer skills [Required]
Education:
• High School/Equivalent grad OR 5+ years experience [Required]

• 2+ commercial plumbing [Preferred]
• 2+ healthcare [Preferred]
• 3+ general plumbing maintenance [Required]
