The role you'll contribute:
The Neurodiagnostic Specialist I is an essential member of the neurodiagnostic team, responsible for performing all aspects of quality routine and some advanced neurodiagnostic procedures commensurate with skills/training and in accordance with technical standards set forth by the American Society of Neurodiagnostic Technologies (ASET) and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS). Observes the Advent Health Corporate Compliance Plan as well as all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. This role requires a strong foundation in neurodiagnostic technology and the ability to work effectively under supervision and is required to maintain and improve levels of clinical and technical knowledge across all disciplines of the neurodiagnostic field. Participates in the department quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you'll bring to the team:
Perform routine neurodiagnostic procedures with appropriate documentation, observes patients, troubleshoots physiological and environmental artifact and utilizes appropriate resources.
Assist in more complex diagnostic tests and procedures as part of a team.
Monitor patients in Epilepsy Monitoring Units (EMUs) while adhering to protocols and procedures.
Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process using age-appropriate guidelines and ensuring comfort and safety during tests.
Qualifications
What Will You Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- Minimum one year EEG experience or graduation from an EEG school.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED :
- EEG experience on Nihon Kohden software.
LICENSURE OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED :
ABRET registration
