Founded in 1904, UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale is DuPage County’s only teaching hospital. Conveniently located in the heart of Chicago’s western suburbs, the 261-bed medical center provides expert, compassionate, faith-based care in the Adventist tradition to patients at all stages of their lives. UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale has earned a number of nationally recognized awards and safety grades, particularly for its state-of-the art cancer center, Level III perinatal services with neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), pediatric-approved emergency room, and surgical capabilities that include da Vinci™ Robotic Assisted Surgery.

About the Area
With a population of more than 17,000, Hinsdale is a peaceful suburb just 14 miles west of Chicago. Hinsdale was incorporated in 1873, 10 years after the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad decided to lay its track through vacant land where the city now stands. Today, you can take the Burlington Northern train from Hinsdale to Chicago in under 40 minutes. Hinsdale is a charming and historic town with its downtown being a National Register Historic District, and six individual Hinsdale buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places. Downtown Hinsdale offers numerous family-owned restaurants, bakeries, boutiques and salons. If you’re looking to enjoy a day in nature, nearby Fullersburg Woods, Graue Mill and Katherine Legge Memorial Park offer outdoor recreation for all ages.
