Infectious Disease Physician – AdventHealth Georgia

AdventHealth Georgia is seeking a compassionate and board-certified / board-eligible Infectious Disease Physician to join our mission-driven team in Rome. This role is vital to our commitment to whole-person care and supports our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ .

You'll work collaboratively across departments to manage infectious diseases, lead infection prevention efforts, and contribute to antimicrobial stewardship across our market.

Responsibilities:

• Provide consultative and direct care for infectious disease patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings

• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, surgeons, and primary care providers

• Lead infection control and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives

• Educate patients, families, and staff on disease prevention and treatment

• Assist in protocol development and outbreak response planning

Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Completion of Infectious Disease fellowship

• Board certification or eligibility in Infectious Disease

• Active Georgia medical license or eligibility

• Strong clinical and communication skills
