The role you'll contribute :

The Point of Care Coordinator is a medical laboratory scientist responsible for the oversight of hospital Point of Care Testing (POCT) (non-waived) in accordance with State and Federal regulations and accreditation standards.

The value you'll bring to the team :

· Ensures the Quality Management of the POCT program is maintained in adherence to applicable regulations and accreditation standards.

· Maintains POCT policies and procedures.

· Maintains self-competencies required to oversee the POCT program.

· Represents the AdventHealth Laboratory department in a manner consistent with supervisory responsibility in patient, employee, visitor, and physician interactions.

· Ensures all testing personnel have required training and competency assessment maintained and appropriately documented.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

· Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related science

· Five Years Laboratory Experience, including a minimum of two years in a POCT environment

· American Medical Technologists

· Medical Laboratory Scientist

· Medical Technologist

· In licensure states, Laboratory Supervisor Level Licensure in appropriate specialty(ies) for the department or location assignment as applicable to the state -OR –

· In non-licensure states, must hold a national certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist such as ASCP, AAB, or AMT unless grandfathered per state requirement requirement.
