The role you'll contribute:
Radiologic Technologists perform Radiographic Examinations that create images for diagnosis.Radiography integrates scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information.Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in Radiographic positioning and exposure technique.Radiologic Technologists prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate Radiographic Examinations.

Completes all exams in a timely manner, keeps work flow moving and minimizes empty table time. Researches patient chart prior to sending for patient to ensure exam is accurately ordered. Contacts the unit nurse or patients physician if order clarification or correction is required.
Assures Diagnostic Imaging equipment is available and in good working condition by troubleshooting and reporting findings through the hospital work order system. Operates and maintains Imaging equipment in a safe manner.
Utilizes computer system to update exam status, replace orders and troubleshoot exams as needed. Ensures charges match protocol and procedure completed.
Reviews exam images, suggesting repeats as necessary for best possible result. Performs monthly Image QA and quarterly audits on the XR technologists. Provides feedback to manager for employee evaluations.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
High School Grad or Equiv
2 years of experience in hospital setting as a Registered Technologist
Florida Department of Health General Radiographer
ARRT ( R )
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
